Village of Downers Grove and Downers Grove Area Newcomers Present Heritage Festival’s 28th Annual Bike & Buggy Parade
On July 12, 2009 kids take to the streets in the Heritage Festival's 28th Annual Bike &
Buggy Parade. Starting at 1:00 p.m., traffic will yield and children of all ages are invited to parade their decorated bikes, trikes, scooters or strollers right down Main Street, Downers Grove. Participants should meet at the library parking lot near Burlington Avenue and Forest by 12:45 p.m. on “race” day. Kids will cruise down Main Street and over on Grove Street to finish at Fishel Park. Free popsicles reward kids at the end of their ride, as well as the juggling, stilt-walking, and balloon-crafting fun of entertainer, Jason Kollum.
